My name is Takumi Kato and I am from Japan. I was born in 1981 and I am now 41 years old. I have been performing traditional Japanese drums known as Taiko for 25 years. Handed down from ancient times in Japan, we are engaged in activities to pass on Japanese culture and spirit to future generations through our performances. The motto of such performances is “Begin with courtesy, End with courtesy”. In 2012, I acted as a Goodwill Ambassador for the “Los Angeles Gifu citizens group” and I am still to this day, an Ambassador of Tourism for Gifu prefecture. I will start my dream in California.


As our challenge is to touch as many families and communities with our hearts, we would appreciate any invitation to perform so that we may continue to spread world peace and harmony. I would appreciate any opportunity to perform at your office or individual home. We would love to perform for communities, schools and individual families.
